Saving Faith?

Have you ever heard the phrase “saving faith?” If you have, let me assure you that there is no such thing.

 

One cannot be saved by faith. It is only through faith that one can be saved. And that is only with the Grace of God. In other words Jesus Christ alone saves you.

 

A church cannot save you. Being baptized cannot save you. Praying the ‘sinner’s prayer’ cannot save you. Giving to charity cannot save you. Being a good person cannot save you.

 

Only Jesus can save you.
 

And the best thing is that this Saving Grace is a free gift. One does not have to do anything in order to receive it. It has all been paid for.

 

Not one person will be able to say that he or she did this or that in order to be in Heaven. Everyone will have the same story … it was Jesus that got us here.

 

The devil is very clever and extremely cunning. He will make you question your faith. You’ll begin asking yourself if your faith is good enough or strong enough to save you. The answer to that question is NO.

 

Do not put your faith in your faith. Put your faith in the One who can save you.

Put your faith in Jesus.
