What Clothes Do You Wear?

I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

Isaiah 61:10

 What Clothes Do You Wear?

What will you say when you stand before the King of Heaven? Will you be speechless?
Multitudes of people who expect to go to Heaven will wind up going to Hell. Thousands of "good" people, "moral" people, church members, even church workers - the prophets, priests and preachers - will find themselves lost when they expected to be saved, condemned when they expected approval, cast out when they expected to be received.
There are millions who think that they are safe, when in actuality they are lost. They claim salvation; but will receive damnation. They are self-satisfied under a delusion, a false refuge; before Jesus Christ they will be horrified to hear that He never knew them.
These are the people who will be dressed in the filthy rags of self-righteousness (Isaiah 64:6). These people expect to attend a wedding, but they will not be properly dressed (Matthew 22:1-14). They will not have on the robes of righteousness. They will be bound and cast “into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.  For many are called, but few are chosen” (Matthew 22:13-14).
In 1834, Edward Mote wrote “When He shall come with trumpet sound, Oh may I then in Him be found. Dressed in His righteousness alone, Faultless to stand before the throne.”
It would be a shame for people who acted in every conceivable religious way to think they can come to the wedding without Christ’s righteousness.
If you are willing to throw away your garments of self-righteousness, then you surely will find a happy reception. The Lord Jesus came to seek and save that which was lost. He died to save sinners.
Make sure you are not depending on anything else in the world except Christ.
Make sure to thoroughly surrender yourself to the will of Christ, so that the Holy Spirit will give you full joy and assurance. "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God" (Romans 8:16).
Abandon yourself to Christ. Claim Him openly and boldly. Follow Him anywhere He says to go.
